Reasons I like riding the bus:
- I can spend my commute listening to music and NPR on my iPod.
- My work pays for my bus pass.
- Don’t have to be stuck in traffic.
- Sitting next to hott business men on a small bus seat is always a good thing.
- Uninterrupted reading time.
- Pretty views of the city.
- Good for the planet.
- Not having to pay for parking in downtown Seattle.
Reasons why I hate riding the bus:
- The bus hates pretty shoes. (Please see Exhibit A)
Exhibit A:
Oh yes, the bus totally ate my boot heel. Nothing like trying to carry your toddler up the hill to your house on a jacked up heel.
So tell me, is it possible to look pretty while walking around on a jacked up boot heel?

Oh no!!!! Not the shoes! I love shoes, and I would have been so mad. I’m sorry!
I really need to start riding the bus more. I’m all over the damn valley and I just can’t afford it anymore. Especially since my school gives me a free bus pass every year. But I would sacrifice looking cute, since I would probably be using a bike along with riding the bus.

GAH! Do you know what else hates pretty footwear? Those mat things at the grocery store they put by the fountain drinks (which I am no longer allowed to have). Your heels get caught in them!!

Gaaaaah!! Oh no!!! That makes my heart hurt, seriously. (To me, this pic is worse than if you had a picture of your elbow poking through your skin.) Poor little boot. Can a shoemaker fix it you think?

well… lets not talk about the mysterious yellow stain that appeared on my white skirt during a bus ride.
lesson learned - never wear white skirts on the bus
that’s a bummer about the boots. Funny how the kids get heavier when your shoes dont work properly
