In which I am not impressed with my talents. And neither is Mrs. Squirrel.March 28th, 2008 @ 7:01 am
There are a few things that I know how to do well. Very few. As in the list pretty much goes like this:
- make toast
- make babies
- make pizza
- crochet baby hats
After this last foray into this whole let’s crochet a baby hat for Mrs. Squirrel’s new baby, I may have to cross the last one of the list.
Yep, pretty sure that one has to be taken off the list.

Awww, but look how cute it is hovering over his head like a little knitted halo! I guess now Mrs. Squirrel will just have to have another, tinier, baby to go with the hat. That’s how it works, right? You have babies to accessorize the tiny clothes?

I did a SUPER small hat once too. But, I pretended I just meant for it to be a doll hat.

You know I love the hat. LOVE IT. And so does baby Ollie… we’re just working on stretching it out to fit his ginormous cranium.

I made a hat for AS’s nephew last year and the same darn thing happened. That baby’s head was just too big!

THAT is totally hilarious!
And the hat is cute, even if it didn’t quite work out size-wise.
Plus, I agree with the commenters who think you forgot to include your awesome onesies on the list of things you do extremely well.

Maybe if you make another baby hat the little guy will have a pair of mittens.
