He probably thinks Mitt Romney is a basketball playerJanuary 25th, 2008 @ 7:01 am
One of the bazillion e-mails I missed while out sick was one from The King on Tuesday, before he knew I had left work:
I heard Heath Ledger died today. I didn’t know who that was when the receptionist here at work told me, but I played it cool and said that I was pretty sure he wasn’t going to make it past the primary race anyway. Then I looked him up on the internet and found out that he was in “10 Things I Hate About You” which I remember. And that there were drugs involved. I guess he wasn’t a candidate in the presidential race after all. Good thing, because I think being on drugs is a bad way to start out a presidency, or VP for that matter.
It’s a good thing he’s so darn handy with a hammer and nails, or I might have to kick him to the curb for saying stuff like that.

(Check out the tub over at the new house. Dude, we are this.much.closer to actually moving in.)

That King is one handy guy. Not so up on the world events, but when the man can build a bathroom, not even to mention a WHOLE HOUSE, from scratch, I think we can let it slide.
Man, I’m pretty sure there’s a misplaced comma in there somewhere.

I cackled at The Kings email. Granted I never really tunes in to Hollywood stuff except the gossip mags, so maybe it wasn’t so close to home for me.
And is it just the angle of the tub pic or is it really a very small tub? It looks Babboo sized!
And every time you mention that you guys are building your own house toegther, I can’t believe it. Not cause I think you arel ying, but because if I tried it, I have suspicions that the man involved would end up on the wrong side of a paint flinging incident or worse. You and The King have such a great combination of skills and love for each other!
Isabel: Have no fear, the tub is huge!

I don’t think the tub looks small at all. In fact, it looks glorious. Deep and nicely angled on the ends so your head and feet can kick back. I’m jealous.
And….are you really moving into this “new house” or is it some big ploy? This seems to have taken FOREVER. haha
Isabel: Yes, it’s taking forever for the new house to get finished. But you must realize that The King is building it. With his own hands. In his spare time. Besides working a full time job. And trying to hang out with Babboo and me. And have a life. I’m hoping, and praying, to move into the new house before Christmas 2008!

That’s a wicked cool tub. The sink in my bathroom has that same style. Mitt Romney, does sound like a baseball player.

He probably thinks Mitt Romney is a basebally player, actually. Get it: mitt - baseball? Oh, I am hilarious.
Ummm… yeah. Anyway. What did the receptionist say to The King after he made the primary comment? Awkward!

His response made ma laugh out loud! That’s too funny!!
I love, love your tub. With the pictures we’ve seen thus far, you’ll have to photograph every corner of the new house for us once it’s finished. I love it!

The King’s email gave me a pretty good snicker this morning!! Why does he not blog on King Friday anymore, or, for that matter, start his own blog. I mean, you know, in between the job, building the house, being a husband and father and all that shit.

Oh, wow. Sad as I am about Heath Ledger, the King’s email cracks me up. Such a man response! Clearly he doesn’t understand the hottie-bom-bottieness of Heath Ledger, or he would know exactly who he was.
That bath tub looks heavenly.

That tub is delightful.
My boyfriend has no idea who he is either. I told him that he was in Brokeback Mountain and he was offended that I even SUGGESTED that he might have seen that movie.

Wait, the King has seen “Ten Things I Hate About You”??? But not Start Wars?
I also have a Heath Ledger story, though not as awesome as yours. My friend was leaving me a vm. It went like this, “Hey May, I forgot to mention… OH MY GOSH! HEATH LEDGER DIED!!! Sorry, I’m on MSN! He overdosed or something! NO WAY!~ I can’t believe it! This is so sad! I have to go. Call me later”

Silly King.
(but in his defense, Scotty had no clue who Heath is either. I had to explain it in very simple terms).

Dude, that’s pretty bad.
Since 10 Things I Hate About You was pretty much the Movie of My Freshman Year of College, I have long been aware of Heath Ledger. But, I am a girl.

Honestly, all I knew about him was that he used to be with Michelle Williams. I’ve never seen 10 Things. I know. I KNOW.

So funny! We weren’t too sure who this Heath fellow was either. Must be a sign of aging that we’re so out of touch with pop culture. Sigh. I felt like my mom must have when I was all devastated over River Phoenix and she was all “who?” and “a boy named after a river?”

Hooray on being that much closer to moving in! I’m so excited for you. And that tub? Is gorgeous. I might have to come over and take a bath. But that would be a little weird…”Hi, King, I’m Isabel’s blogger friend Kathleen, and I’m here to bathe in your gorgeous tub.” Yeah, not so much. :p
