In the fight against beef jerky, the jerky is winningJanuary 24th, 2008 @ 5:01 am
While I love my new mattress, I hadn’t really planned on spending the last 24 hours on top of it, praying that I wouldn’t puke. Again.
(Note to the interweb: if you think that you might puke at some point in the day, don’t eat beef jerky. You’ll thank me for this advice.)
(Seriously, no beef jerky.)
Things I have done in the last 24 hours:
- Watched the season premier of “Scott Baio is 46 and Pregnant“.
- Teetered between thinking Scott Baio is hott and wanting to kick him in his perfect teeth.
- Set the DVR to tape the entire season of “Scott Baio is 46 and Pregnant”.
- And also “My Fair Brady“.
- Fallen more in love with new template, and Carrisa for her blog knowledge. (Click over from your reader and check it out.)
- Overheard, for the first time, the lady in the next apartment getting it on.
- Wondered if The King and I are that loud.
- Because seriously, they were loud.
- Eaten Babboo’s weight in Teddy Grahams.
- Freaked out after reading that another blogger is pregnant!
- Seriously people, I don’t need anymore pressure to get knocked up. (We still have a few condoms left from our 100 pack. I would hate to waste any perfectly good condoms.)
- Oh yeah, and I wrote a post over at SeattleMomBlogs.
So tell me, what have you been up to in the last 24 hours?
(And please, no mention of beef jerky. Or any type of smocked meat of any kind.)
I Rock

Dude, y’all have that bug going on over there? I’m sanitizing EVERYTHING because every single one of my friends and their kids have come down with that puke bug, and I refuse to get it (or have my kids get it). So far so good….

Sorry you’re sick, that sucks. But! You have had a chance to catch up on the marvels of reality crap television! I admit I watch Scott Baio too. He is such a freakin baby, he gets on my nerves, but I can’t stop watching. And the Brady show? I really don’t think they should have a baby. I don’t see them lasting much longer. Have you gotten into Celebrity Rehab yet? That one’s pretty good too…..in a crappy reality show sorta way.

Chocolate Teddy Grahams rule.
And by “a few condoms left” do you really mean 90? ha!

Purrty!!! That Carrisa is something!
I also recommend you not eat cottage cheese and coffee in the same meal should you think you might puke. I had some bug yesterday and I was NOT a fan. Ick.

My guilty VH-1 show is Rock of Love 2. I never liked Brett Michaels or Poison and I think shows like that –and the whole girls gone wild culture in general — are degrading and yet I watch.
Glad you feel better.

Sorry you got the vomit flu!! I hope you are feeling much better today. As for me, I have been cleaning up puke myself. Babboo must have sent Alyssa some vomit flu all the way to Memphis!

Other than sneeze and clean up cat barf, I have done absolutely nothing. This yuckiness seems to be going around a lot lately. I hope you feel better soon! (and me too)
Love the new template…muy bonita…is that right? Regardless, it’s very pretty!

Sorry you were sick. I wondered why there wasn’t a fresh and entertaining post!
Dairy products are generally not reccomended for sick people, but if you are going to puke, ice cream is the only way to go. And if you are going to be home sick, there is nothing better than a days worth of trashtacular reality shows. I have to admit that I am overjoyed that Johnny V. came back for season 2 of Scott Baio. Not cause I like him, but because he horrifies me, in a fascinating train wrecky way.
I like the new format, it is very clean and sleek. Make it work! That part was just in case you are Project Runway-ing too.

My friend who had morning sickness pretty much for her whole 9 months said that chocolate milk and gummy bears (separately, not together) aren’t so bad coming back up. Just an FYI.
It might just be me, but your teeny weeny graphics were X’d out. So I’m not sure what’s going on there!

I watched that Scott Baio show too and all I could think was how much I wanted to tell his gf to run away far and fast. Man, that guy has some ISSUES. I mean I know it’s shocking to find out you’re going to have an (unplanned) baby, but don’t RUN AWAY to the golf course and call your crazy friends to come rescue you. I would have kicked his butt when he came home from that.
Maybe I’m overreacting?
I’m sorry you’re sick and hope that there is no more barfing in your future.

Nooo vomiting!!! Oh no. However, bellyache aside, you’ve definitely accomplished more in the last 24 hours than I did. My claims to fame are like… drank one glass of white wine! made it to a meeting by 9 am this morning! discussed project runway!!
Riveting life that I lead, right?

Oh no! Being sick is no bueno! I’m sorry! Hopefully you can enjoy the next night on your beautiful new bed a little bit better than you have been.
And dude, Shaun used to hear his upstairs neighbor from his old apartment get it on all the time. I never heard them, I even tried listening really hard… Must not have like to engage in those sorts of activites while I was around.
I went to school and work (yesterday and today), watched Seinfeld, watched that new game show on Fox, The Moment of Truth. I saw the season premiere of the Scott Baio show and man, he is so insane. Just grow up already ya baby! And I cannot wait for this season of My Fair Brady! I was in such aticipation over the first season to see if he’d purpose. It’s gonna be good fun!

OMG! When my hubby and I had our apartment we could hear our neighbors…. We joked and called her “OH Chris” instead of Jen.
As for the flu, everyone in my house had it last week. I feel for you! Ours only last 24 hours. Don’t eat Taco Bell either. YUCK!

I love every single thing about the new template. It’s gorgeous, and very You!
I was home sick yesterday too, but just with a sinus infection. No vomiting was involved, thankfully, although I did see your status message on gmail and think happy, vomit-free thoughts for you!

I’m pretty sure the point of Scott Baio’s show is to bring on those feelings.
Although, I cried at the last two episodes. Stupid Charles in Charge of my days and my nights!
