Step Into My Office, BabyJanuary 23rd, 2007 @ 7:01 am
I’ve had many offices/cubicles at my current place of employment. I’ve had a sweet office with a perfect view of the Space Needle. I’ve worked crammed into a construction trailer with stinky contractors. I’ve had a cubicle in the middle of empty cubicles where I could surf the web all day.
And now I have this place:

(More of my cubicle at Flickr.)
I try to keep it as plain as possible. That way I don’t actually like being here all day. What didn’t make it into this picture? My new bobblehead (which is awesome) and a post card from Mrs. Squirrel.
Now that I’ve welcomed you into my humble abode, show me where you spend your days. I’m sure it’s better than this.
(and if you want to know a secret about me, check out today’s post over at New To Us.)

Very neat space, it reminds me of my old office space.
I love bobbleheads.

I just took some photos yesterday!!! You know… to keep when I leave - to remind me of where I was for a couple years of my life.
Dang I’m going to miss it.

I am so going to do this on my blog. What a great idea!
Also, I hope that little globe thing wasn’t the only gift you got for five freaking years!

Hi sweetness. Which postcard? Um, I’ll take one on Thursday, when I’m back in the office.
Looks like you have post-it noteitis like I do.

I’m not going to post a picture of my work, but I will just say it’s MUCH more plain than yours is. MUCH!
(Also, what do you do for a living anyway? I feel like I should know this, but I don’t think I do.)

OH, but the productivity! I mean, obviously (as I look at my own pile o’ crap and continue to blog instead of actually work…)

Man! I would totally take a picture of my desk, err I mean….cubicle (Thank You Very Much) however it’s not allowed. NOPE! Against the rules and regulations. I mean, I could lose my job if I’m caught with a camera or even a periphial device. We are in a secured area, and yeah…..man, I’m bummed because I think you would like my workspace. Love your background!!!

I keep forgetting to check your new blog. I need to add it to my blog roll, then I won’t forget.
My desk is pretty awesome looking, since I’ve been with my company for almost 4 years. Lots of pictures and lots of useless stuff I’ve gotten from the company, but it’s really unique!

[...] While I’m sitting at my desk in my little cubicle every day there is this whole world that I’m missing out on. A world where mom’s wake up and cook their kids breakfast. A world where mom’s do laundry at their leisure and not in a frantic rush on Saturday mornings. A world where Elmo plays in the background so that mom can blog undisturbed. A world where mom’s throw their kids in their vans and head off to play dates with other moms and kids. [...]
Slow to anger? | hola, isabel

[...] In order for me to be slower to anger, I need to remind myself of this commitment. When I feel my ears heating up and my throat closing, I must remind myself…slow to anger. I thought about making a sign that says “Slow to Anger” and hanging it in my cubicle, and in my kitchen. And maybe above my bed. Heck, maybe I should make an iron-on that I can wear everyday. [...]
