The daycare was a little too excited about the fact that it’s a “snow day” today. Yes, a little too excited.January 11th, 2007 @ 4:50 pm
This is my view at work today:
That’s right people. The damn daycare is closed today for a “snow day”. Do you see any snow outside? Yeah, neither do I. Babboo is quietly playing with his toys and pooping up my boss’ office (who is out this week).
Me, I’m trying to be professional here at the office while making sure my kid doesn’t poop on his clothes.
It’s a balancing act that I have yet to master.
My Sweet Babboo and I fly out tonight after we get done here at work. Hopefully he can help me get some of my tasks accomplished. (Haaa!)
I’m looking forward to this trip out to see my friends and family. I’m trying to focus on the positive things like my little brother finally getting to meet Babboo. And watching my Dad snuggle Babboo. What I’m not thinking about is my little sister telling me that even though she took Friday off from work so we could hang out, she’s going to stay at her house to hang out with her husband who also has the day off. Because she “isn’t sure when we’ll have a day off together again”.
Right. And I’m not sure when I’ll fly out to see you again.
(Here’s hoping that she changes her mind and decide to come down to my folk’s house to see me. It’s a 20 minute drive. I think she can handle it.)

Sister needs a good kick in the head. Oops.
Babboo is too cute and way too “little boy looking”– what happened to Baby Babboo?!?!
I definitely don’t see snow in that picture! LIARS!

You should punch her in the neck if she doesn’t come to see you. Just sayin’.
And your daycare is crazy. But at least the kid looks cute pooping in your office.

I agree with HollowSquirrel’s “little boy” comment. Adorable Baby Babboo has been replaced with Adorable Toddler Babboo, and he’s not even one yet!
I’m sorry about your sister. Why can’t she and her husband just come over together to see you?

Wow, I really hope your sister changes her mind and comes to visit you. Looks like Babboo is enjoying work day with Mom.

How cute is he?!?
So if there is no snow outside, what’s “snow day” for then?
Have a wonderful trip! I hope your sister rethinks things.

Is it possible that your Seattle daycare is having a “snow day” in honor of the snow falling in Salt Lake City today? Today being the very day you fly into said city?
If so, they’re nuts! But at least it’s snowing somewhere on “snow day.”

I can;t believe that your sister isn;t running down to your parents house to see you! have a wonderful trip!
Sounds like you had an interesting day with the baby with you! I had Abbie with me 2 weeks ago- lets just say not much got done! Especially after she discovered how much fun it was to crawl behind my desk!

I wish I would have gotten a snow day. We got a lot of snow here (as you saw), so I think we should have gotten a snow day! I haven’t had one since I think about the 7th grade.

I hope your sister decides to use her brain. (I don’t say that in a mean way. I have a sister that I wish would use her brain.)
I don’t think I belive that that is Babboo. He lookes so big! Really, he looks like a toddler. He is still only one week shy of nine months. Right?

I know I’ve been away for a few weeks, but dang…when did Babboo transform into a three year old?? He looks so huge!
Oh, and your sister isn’t coming to see you b/c her husband has the day off??? Why can’t he just come see you too???

He’s such a kid! I love his outfit too. I bet he’s the best dressed kid at his preschool! I’m at home right now due to an “ice” day.

[…] As you know, I’m pretty mad at Babboo’s school lately. As much as I like my baby and like spending time with my baby, I don’t like spending time with my baby at work. Or trying to nurse my baby at work. No, don’t like that so much. […]

[…] I lap it right up. I think it’s great. I love the attention from her. I love talking to her on the phone. She makes me laugh. Yes, she’s mildly abrasive, but she’s my sister. I’ll put up with it. […]
