One more day until the new awesomeness at holaisabel.com

Only one more day until the unveiling of new awesomeness at hola, isabel. ONE DAY. As in, tomorrow. Make sure to come back tomorrow to find out what it is. I have seen a preview myself, and I like it. I’m sure the masses will to. (and by masses I mean the 13 readers who didn’t abandon me when I left for 6 days on vacation.)

Did you watch Project Runway last night? I was shocked, I tell you. I can’t believe they brought back Angela and Vincent. I admit I wasn’t ready to see them again. Of course it was no surprise they neither of them will be back next week. I loved Laura’s cocktail dress. But I love Laura. I’m hoping that she is in the top 3. I’m thinking it’s pretty much between Laura, Uli, and Jeffrey. Michael is for sure in the top 3. Jeffrey sucks, as a person. He’s just so mean. But I do appreciate his take on the “rockstar life”. I wish that I was living the rockstar life. Unfortunately, I live the exact opposite of that.

I can’t wait to hear HollowSquirrel’s take on last night episode. If you didn’t know it, she has a very scientific spreadsheet to calculate who will be this season’s winner. Don’t ask her to share her spreadsheet with you. She’s currently trying to get a paten on it, so she has to keep it under wraps.

Who do you think will be in the top 3?

(Did you see Heidi Klum on The View today?  She hinted to there not being 3 finalist.  Did you see that?  Oh my gosh. What is she talking about?)

Back to your questions:

Emmakirsten asked some good ones and topics that I haven’t thought much about lately.

Do you want to have anymore children? If yes, how many?

I think this is such a personal topic. And I’ll have you know that I would never answer this question if someone in real life asked me this. But hello, this is the internet. And on the internet we like to talk, talk, talk, and share, share, share. And so I will happily share this with you.

Okay. I’ve always thought that I would have 3 kids. I was raised in a family with 4 kids and always thought that was a huge family. The King only has 2 kids in his family. He seems to think that was the perfect size for a family. I sort of feel like he missed out on all the fun times that I had with my (larger) family. (You know, the time we drove to LA and kept having to unroll the windows because my younger sister kept farting and stinking up the entire car. Or Christmas’ when we would all take turns opening our gifts, so that the day would be stretched out.)

After The King watched Babboo being cut out of my belly and not enjoying that at all (not to mention the pregnancies) he decided that Babboo will be an only child. Plus he said “we can’t take the chance that our next baby won’t be as perfect as Babboo.” That is a real worry for him.

So where does this all leave us?

I want (at least) one more baby. Not any time soon. Not even in the next 2 years. The King still says “only Babboo!” So I just nod my head and try to not think about it. Because I’m pretty sure he’ll decide he wants another one.

What is your dream job?

Do you mean “dream” as in if I could have Heidi Klum’s job I could? Or “dream” as in something that could really happen like “a police officer”?

As I’ll never have Heidi Klum’s job, let’s just forget about that.

If you would have asked a 10 year old Isabel what she was going to be when she grew up she would have said, “a high school teacher.” (I wanted to teach American History.)
If you would have asked a 19 year old college student Isabel the same question, you would have heard the same response, “a teacher”.

A high school teacher is about the opposite of what I do know for a living.

Huh?

Who knows how I got to where I am.

I know that I’ll never go back to school to get my teaching certificate. I like my current career path. It’s a path I intend to stay on.

It’s been good to me.

Frema asked:

If Babboo had been a girl, what (real-life) name would you have gone with?

I wish I could scream Babboo’s real name from the rooftops. It’s such a good one. We really do love it. But naming him was hard. Very hard. For some reason we just could never come up with a good name for a boy.

We had the girls name from the start. The King picked it out based on this totally hip and wonderful little shoppe in Paris by the same name.

The name?

Colette

(this is the store where we totally saw Rob Lowe.)

Audrey (who just got a new site, so check it out) asked:

What is your all-time favorite dessert?

I consider dessert to be what you have at home after dinner. Using that definition I must go with some dutch apple pie.

(I love candy and ice cream and bread and butter and lemon pies. But I consider them to be “treats” and not “dessert”. If the question would have been about “treats” I would have had a hard time picking.)

What is the one self-pampering thing (ie pedicures, facials, blizzards, etc) you would do every day if things like time, money, weight gain weren’t an issue?

Audrey, why do you tempt me so? Why do you throw it in my face that I have to worry about things like money and weight gain?

Blah.

If weight gain weren’t an issue (but it is) I would love to stop and get a Blizzard every day on my way home from work. EVERY DAY. I don’t think I would ever get sick of it. I really don’t.

If money weren’t an issue I think I would love to get a new shirt every day. (Also, my huge nursing boobs would have to not be an issue either. Because they are still too damn big to fit in any shirt out there.)

Buying a new shirt is totally my idea of self-pampering.

Oh my gosh, can I say that I would love to shop while enjoying a Blizzard? Yeah, that’s what I want.

What do you want to be when you grow up?

Please see my previous answer.

Since tomorrow is the unveiling, I will be taking a day off from answering questions.  On Monday I’ll be tacking DeAnn’s question.  And it’s a great one.  And one that I can’t seem to decide on yet.

Great answers to great questions. Um, I got two questions when I suggested people could ask me anything. Two. Pathetic.

Anyway, thanks for the shoutout on my super secret PR spreadsheet. Yes, I’m totally getting it patented, and I’m going to live off the royalties, just like the people who came up with the Beanie Baby collector software. Except…well, yeah. But anyway, last night’s episode was pheeeeenom. Sad to see Kayne go, because he’s adorable and very talented, but someone had to and his departure was due before the final three…who will be (according to my SuperSecretSpreadsheet): Michael (DUH), Uli and Laura, although 2 points separates Jeffrey from Laura, so it could go either way. Laura has had one win and hasn’t been in the bottom 2 ever, while Jeffrey has 2 wins and has been in the bottom 2 twice. That’s what throws his score low. Uli, Laura and Jeffrey share the same “issue” — they do their own style best and don’t vary enough. Laura showed she could change, and that may propel her into the final 3. It’s going to be tough. I would be shocked (and disappointed) if Uli didn’t go to the finals after her numerous appearances in the top 3.

And just a reminder: Survivor premieres tonight! Now back to my own blog (uh, sorry)…

Can I say I’m so glad you posted? I have crazy writer’s block at work and am in sore need of distraction.

First of all, thanks for answering my question. Colette is such a cute name!

Second, Blizzards are fantastic, and there was a point in my life where I actually DID eat one every day. Once? I had two. When my favorite pair of dress slacks refused to button, I knew the time had come to seek Help.

Third, I never thought about the kids question being very personal, but after mulling it over, it really is, isn’t it?

Ummm, dammit. I haven’t watched PR yet. I skipped that paragraph after I saw the words “Angela” and…somebody. See? I’ve already forgotten. But ACK I might have just scrolled through the previous comment….wait, was it VINCENT?!

I too worry about not having a second perfect child. As I was my parents’ first (and only) perfect child (they were also too scared to chance a second). I tell people I would be happy with just Evan, in my heart, but my HEAD knows I want a second child. I’m sure the second one will be thrilled to know that he/she was just a “given”.

OMG did you notice that I’m like the only one of your readers (and BIFFS!) who didn’t ask you a question? This does mean I don’t love you with my big ole internet heart. It just means I’m lame and that I had no clue what to ask. Just so you know.

But I really love reading all these Q&A’s and I can’t wait to see what holaisabel looks like tomorrow!

I worked at the place where they make blizzards when I was in high school, and lets just say I consumed a lot of blizzards in that time. The best part was that I could blend my own flavours. It was awesome…except the side effects weren’t exactly ideal.

Oh man, when Vincent and Angeal walked out, I was all, WHAT THE HELL!?!?!?!?!? My husband has been suckered in to watching this season with me, and he said the same thing. Vincent is a nut-job, and Angela sucks. I LOVE LOVE LOVE Michael. Seriously, he’s got some awesome designs. Also love Laura, even though she can be catty (though I don’t blame her with the pregnancy horomones and all… I felt so bad for her last night when she broke down crying). I like Uli as a person, but I’m tired of seeing the same dress over and over and over again… seriously. And… yes, I was sad to see Kayne go….

I think I’m going to have to try a Blizzard. You keep raving about them, so I know they must be good.

I know what you mean about buying a new shirt! I LOVE buying new shirts as often as I can! I don’t buy pants or skirts too often, because I usually have a favorite of each and just wear those the most, but SHIRTS! I love them. :)

I LOVE your answers to my questions! And now I am majorly craving a Blizzard - thanks a lot! I guess it’s only fair since I tempted you, too.

And thanks for pimping my new site, too!

What I loser I am! I haven’t seen a single episode of Project Runway, and when I read about it on blog after blog after blog, I feel so….. unworthy….

I always wanted to be a high school teacher, too, but I never will be. I have an issue with Universities. Since my jr college was the size of a Dairy Queen, I can’t move up to a campus with it’s own zip code. The thought makes me shiver in fear!

I love that you said you’d buy a new shirt every day. That’s totally what I would do too. And also buy a Starbucks coffee every. single. morning. A good one, like the $6, 5,000-calorie kind.

Oh, and I love the name Colette. It’s so glamourous sounding.

I was shocked about PR and bringing back those two. I’m glad they were both auf’ed again. I even broke my blogging “Hiatus: Part II” because I was sad about Kayne. I didn’t see the View but that sounds interesting.

Can’t wait to see what you’re unveiling today!

[...] Christar asked when I think I’ll have another baby. I answered that one last week in response to a different question. So you can read that here. (Cristar came back and asked another question, which we’ll get to later!) Janet (who is getting married in Mexico in less then 2 months) asked: [...]
