Think I’m big now?
November 14th, 2005 @ 3:04 pm

Like most pregnant women, I am signed up to receive weekly updates on my pregnancy. To be honest I don’t always look at them very closely. I do always forward them to The King.

I just received the update “My Pregnancy This Week - 19 weeks”, and this is what I read:

“Think you’re big now? You’ll start growing even more rapidly in the weeks to come. This added weight may make it hard for you to keep up your regular pace without taking a catnap during the day.”

This is just going to be perfect for our trip to Europe next week. I was already nervous about slowing the group down. Now I am really nervous. I have traveled with The King a lot and I know the pace in which he likes to travel…fast. No time for breaks, no time for naps, no sleeping in. Just walking all day. Under any other circumstances I would be just fine with this. But lugging this belly around isn’t going to be easy.

I am shopping for support hose on my way home from work today.

(Oh, and that is NOT a picture of my belly. I’ll try to post some this week!)

ha for a split second I totally thought that was your belly!!!!!

there probably isn’t enough time between now and your trip to get that much bigger, right? (what do I know about pregnancy though?)

Wow, I didn’t realize your trip was so soon. I guess that makes sense since you can’t travel in your third trimester.
I’m with Avorie, I’m sure your travel partners will understand if you can’t go at breakneck speed the whole time.

I loved those. My wife used to tell me how big the baby was. And they had some odd comparisons. They were always comparing babies’ sizes with small tropical fruit or furry animals.

After all the Dylan McKay talk yesterday, I actually **forgot** that you’re having a baby. Don’t forget to enlighten him or her with the wonderful world of 90210. I’m sure Europe will be just fine and that The King will be willing to make an exception for you.

I get those pregnancy updates and I too just skim through them. I would only really listen to about half of what they tell you and listen to your own body the rest of the time. Europe will be great, just because they tell you you’re going to be tired, doesn’t mean you are. Each person is different and I have to tell you that my second trimester gave me an added burst of energy even with all that growth happening…
